Last year 50% of our funds were raised online! Create your own fundraising page with photos and stories, and share your reasons for walking for the animals. It's quick and easy to set up your page and you’ll be able to email everyone you know, share your stories, and ask them to support your efforts with a donation!

Register online now!

Parking lots are available adjacent to the Animal Humane Society but they fill up early. You can also park in three nearby lots, with free shuttle bus service every 15 minutes starting at 8:00 a.m.

New Shuttle Bus system to deliver you and your pet to and from the fun quickly.

Lot locations:

  • OptumHealth parking lot at the Northwest corner of Olson Memorial Highway (Hwy 55) and Douglas Drive.
  • Honeywell Plant parking lot at 1985 Douglas Drive.
  • Golden Valley Tech Center at 6305/6325 Sandburg Road (adjacent to Honeywell).

Pets are welcome on the shuttle buses.

Please remember to keep all critters under control and dogs on a short lead. All animals must have up-to-date vaccinations and rabies shots and must be under the control of an adult or have direct adult supervision.

WHY?

  • There is no better way to help the animals in your community. The Animal Humane Society receives no federal, state or county funds. We rely completely on adoption and retail fees and contributions from folks like you.
  • You'll be a part of the nation's largest human and pet walk!
  • Your pets will have a great time. (Remember, the Walk for Animals is one of their favorite days of the year.)
  • You'll see your friends and neighbors and recognize them — no more winter parkas!
  • It's something you and your pet can do together.
  • Where else can you see dogs, cats, ferrets, bunnies, alligators, and parrots, all in one place?
  • You'll feel so good after the good deed you've done.
  • Your animals will go home and sleep.
